CREATION
Maison Mouche creates jewelry for confident people, confident in their taste, in their choices.
Our jewels embody this independent mind, aware of one's place in the world, a free and enlightened mind.
"I take inspiration...
mostly from architectural or sculptural structures, I like the humility of elementary and minimalistic shapes.
Maison Mouche's jewelry is enigmatic and appealing. It plays with our perception. Our jewelry is about void balancing solid, about precision of the line getting straight to the essence of a shape.
You get endlessly fascinated by their graphic and changing form.
"The time to craft...
Take time for drawing, for respecting the cycles of reflection and creation.
When I draw, I look for purity in the gesture, the shortest path, the precision that will lead me to a form free of all frills. As in architecture, when the structure finds its point of balance with the least possible amount of material.
And get to surprise the eye, the shape looks simple, but no, it's more mysterious than that."
Michiyo
is half-French, half-Japanese
During her career, she walked between interior architecture design, animated movies and jewelry design.
From her father, a structural steel engineer, she inherited a fascination for structural forms, technical prowess and mathematical accuracy.
Her mother passed on to her Japanese culture, the taste for purity and poetic balance.
After having worked for many years in the Fashion jewelry industry, she founded Maison Mouche. At the junction of this path: a symbiosis of cultures and artistic disciplines.
